जिन्दगी की उड़ान

सपने देखने और उन्हें पूरा होते देखने की खुशी से बढ़कर कोई खुशी नहीं हो सकती। सफलता हासिल करने के सफर में कई ऐसे लोग होते हैं जिनका साथ हमें मिलता है। लेकिन अक्सर लोग अपने मुश्किल वक्त में मिले सहारों को भूल जाते हैं, पर ऐसे लोग भी हैं जो सफलता हासिल करने के बाद भी अपनी जड़ों से जुड़े रहते हैं। हरियाणा के हिसार जिले के सारंगपुर गांव के रहने वाले विकास ज्यानी उन्हीं लोगों में से एक हैं। विकास अब पायलट बन गए हैं और उन्होंने अपने गांव के 22 बुजुर्ग लोगों को अपने खर्चे पर पहली बार हवाई सफर का आनंद दिलाया।

टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया की एक रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक गांव के बुजुर्गों ने नई दिल्ली से अमृतसर की उड़ान भरी और सबने स्वर्ण मंदिर, जलियां वाला बाग, वाघा बॉर्डर का भ्रमण किया। इन बुजुर्गों में अधिकतर लोग ऐसे थे जो अपनी जिंदगी के आखिरी पड़ाव पर थे। इन लोगों ने कभी सोचा भी नहीं था कि इस उम्र में उन्हें पहली बार हवाई जहाज में बैठने का मौका मिलेगा। इसमें 90 साल की बिमला, 78 साल के रमामुती, 78 साल के कांकेरी देवी, 75 साल की गिरावरी देवी और 80 साल के अमर सिंह शामिल थे।

बुजुर्गों ने दिल से विकास को आशीर्वाद देते हुए कहा कि वह पढ़ने में काफी मेधावी था और उन्हें उम्मीद थी कि वह अपनी जिंदगी में कुछ अच्छा करेगा। 90 वर्षी बिमला ने कहा, 'तमाम लोग होते हैं जो कहते हैं कि बुढ़ापे में उन्हें ये कराएंगे, वो कराएंगे, लेकिन कोई नहीं कराता। मुझे काफी खुशी हुई कि विकास ने हम सभी का सपना पूरा किया। हममें से किसी ने नहीं सोचा था कि एक दिन हम हवाई जहाज में भी बैठेंगे।'

78 वर्षीय कांकेरी देवी ने कहा कि यह उनकी जिंदगी का अब तक का सबसे अच्छ लम्हा था। हालांकि ये सभी ग्रामीण पहली बार हवाई जहाज में बैठ रहे थे लेकिन उन्होंने बताया कि उन्हें किसी तरह की असुविधा नहीं हुई। सह यात्रियों ने भी उनकी पूरी मदद की। विकास के पिता बैंक में मैनेजर हैं उन्होंने कहा कि इस तीर्थ यात्रा से उन्हें काफी खुशी हुई। उन्होंने कहा, 'विकास ने अपना पायलट बनने का सपना तो पूरा ही किया साथ ही हम सभी का सपना भी पूरा किया। सभी युवाओं को विकास से सीख लेनी चाहिए।'

जीवन का मूल्य

एक आदमी ने भगवान बुद्ध से पुछा : जीवन का मूल्य क्या है?

बुद्ध ने उसे एक Stone दिया और कहा : जा और इस stone का
मूल्य पता करके आ , लेकिन ध्यान रखना stone को बेचना नही है I

वह आदमी stone को बाजार मे एक संतरे वाले के पास लेकर गया और बोला : इसकी कीमत क्या है?

संतरे वाला चमकीले stone को देखकर बोला, "12 संतरे लेजा और इसे मुझे दे जा"

आगे एक सब्जी वाले ने उस चमकीले stone को देखा और कहा
"एक बोरी आलू ले जा और इस stone को मेरे पास छोड़ जा"

आगे एक सोना बेचने वाले के
पास गया उसे stone दिखाया सुनार उस चमकीले stone को देखकर बोला, "50 लाख मे बेच दे" l

उसने मना कर दिया तो सुनार बोला "2 करोड़ मे दे दे या बता इसकी कीमत जो माँगेगा वह दूँगा तुझे..

उस आदमी ने सुनार से कहा मेरे गुरू ने इसे बेचने से मना किया है l

आगे हीरे बेचने वाले एक जौहरी के पास गया उसे stone दिखाया l

जौहरी ने जब उस बेसकीमती रुबी को देखा , तो पहले उसने रुबी के पास एक लाल कपडा बिछाया फिर उस बेसकीमती रुबी की परिक्रमा लगाई माथा टेका l

फिर जौहरी बोला , "कहा से लाया है ये बेसकीमती रुबी? सारी कायनात , सारी दुनिया को बेचकर भी इसकी कीमत नही लगाई जा सकती ये तो बेसकीमती है l"

वह आदमी हैरान परेशान होकर सीधे बुद्ध के पास आया l

अपनी आप बिती बताई और बोला "अब बताओ भगवान , मानवीय जीवन का मूल्य क्या है?

बुद्ध बोले :

संतरे वाले को दिखाया उसने इसकी कीमत "12 संतरे" की बताई l

सब्जी वाले के पास गया उसने इसकी कीमत "1 बोरी आलू" बताई l

आगे सुनार ने "2 करोड़" बताई lऔर जौहरी ने इसे "बेसकीमती" बताया l

अब ऐसा ही मानवीय मूल्य का भी है l

तू बेशक हीरा है..!!लेकिन, सामने वाला तेरी कीमत,
अपनी औकात - अपनी जानकारी - अपनी हैसियत से लगाएगा।

घबराओ मत दुनिया में.. तुझे पहचानने वाले भी मिल जायेगे।

The Asia-Pacific Trade Agreement

The Asia-Pacific Trade Agreement (APTA), previously named the Bangkok Agreement, was signed in 1975 as an initiative of ESCAP (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific).

Currency Chest

Recently Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued guidelines for banks to set up new currency chests.

Currency chests are branches of selected banks authorized by the RBI to stock rupee notes and coins.

According to the guideline the currency chests should have Chest Balance Limit (CBL) of Rs 1,000 crore, subject to ground realities and reasonable restrictions, at the discretion of the Reserve Bank.

The RBI offices in various cities receive the notes from note presses and coins from the mints. These are sent to the currency chests and small coin depots from where they are distributed to bank branches.

National Pension System and Changes approved in it

✓ Changes approved in the National 
Pension System:
•Mandatory contribution by the 
Central Government enhanced by 4 
percent from the existing 10 percent to 
14 percent for employees covered 
under NPS Tier-I
•Central government employees will be 
provided with freedom of choice for 
selection of Pension Funds and pattern 
of investment.
•Payment of compensation for non-
deposit or delayed deposit of NPS
contributions during 2004-2012
•Contribution by Government 
employees under Tier-II of NPS will now 
be covered under Section 80 C for 
deduction up to Rs 1.50 lakh for the 
purpose of income tax at par with 
schemes such as General (PF), 
Contributory PF, Employees PF and 
Public PF, with lock-in period of 3 years.
•The entire withdrawal will now be 
exempt from income tax as the tax 
exemption limit for lump sum 
withdrawal on exit has been enhanced 
to 60 percent.

✓ About National Pension System 
(NPS)?
•National Pension System (NPS) is a 
government-sponsored pension scheme. 
It was launched in January 2004 for 
government employees. However, in 
2009, it was opened to all sections.
•The scheme allows subscribers to 
contribute regularly in a pension 
account during their working life. On 
retirement, subscribers can withdraw a 
part of the corpus in a lumpsum and use 
the remaining corpus to buy an annuity 
to secure a regular income after 
retirement.
•This system is managed by PFRDA 
(Pension Fund Regulatory and 
Development Authority).
✓ Who can join NPS?
•Any Indian citizen between 18 and 60 
years can join NPS. The only condition is 
that the person must comply with 
know your customer (KYC) norms.
✓ Can a Non Resident Indian (NRI) join 
NPS?
•Yes, an NRI can join NPS. However, the 
account will be closed if there is a 
change in the citizenship status of the 
NRI.

Noney Bridge

The bridge is going to be constructed 
by the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) 
across the river Ijai in the state of

"KAMSALE "

Kamsale also refers to a brass (metal) stick made musical instrument.

4. Region is also best suited for Agra-forestry and this practice are prevalent in a fallow period for growing fruit, fodder and mulberry trees along the farm boundaries.

3) Kuttanad ,Kerala

1. It is a delta region of about 900 km2 in the west coast of Kerala.

2. It only places in India where rice is cultivated below sea level (Backwater paddy cultivation (Kayal cultivation).

3. People have a unique system of agricultural techniques that contributed to the conservation of biodiversity and ecosystem services including several livelihood services for local communities.

Species of Crocodiles

Mugger:

The mugger crocodile, also called the Indian crocodile, or marsh crocodile, is found throughout the Indian subcontinent.

It is listed as vulnerable by IUCN.

The mugger is mainly a freshwater species, and found in lakes, rivers and marshes.

Gharial:

The Gharial or fish eating crocodile is native to the Indian subcontinent.

It is listed as a Critically Endangered by IUCN.

Small released populations are present and increasing in the rivers of the National Chambal Sanctuary, Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary, Son River Sanctuary and the rainforest biome of Mahanadi in Satkosia Gorge Sanctuary, Orissa.

Saltwater Crocodile:

It is the largest of all living reptiles. It listed as least concern by IUCN. It is found throughout the east coast of India.

The IPBES is an independent intergovernmental body, established by member States in 2012.

• It provides policymakers with objective scientific assessments about the state of knowledge regarding the planet’s biodiversity, ecosystems and the benefits they provide to people, as well as the tools and methods to protect and sustainably use these vital natural assets.

• Its mission is to strengthen knowledge foundations for better policy through science, for the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity, long-term human well-being and sustainable development.

• To some extent IPBES does for biodiversity what the IPCC does for climate change

The Global Cooling Prize, an international competition to incentivize the development of a residential cooling technology that will have at least five times (5x) less climate impact than the standard Room Air Conditioning (RAC).

Jan Dhan Darshak

Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance and National Informatics Centre (NIC) has jointly developed a mobile app called Jan Dhan Darshak as a part of financial inclusion (FI)

Ancient Monuments

According to the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958, any structure, sculpture, inscription, etc., which is in existence for not less than 100 years is termed ancient.

  The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) declares structures to the list of monuments of national importance,

the total number of ancient monuments 3,693.

With 506 monuments under its belt, Karnataka continues to top the list in South India, followed by Tamil Nadu (413).

Nationally too, Karnataka is in the second place after Uttar Pradesh, which has 745 such monuments.

Maitri Bridge

Indian Army built the longest suspension bridge over Indus river in Leh in just 40 days and the bridge is named as Maitri Bridge.
